First 30 Days: What to Do Weekly
After the initial launch, the most common question is "what to do now". There’s nothing urgent — but there is an order of actions by week that separates observation from chaos.
Week 1: Launch is Ongoing
- Monitor launch statuses, not positions: positions this week are not relevant yet.
- Wait for the report with verified links — report and statuses.
- If something looks strange, it’s the best time to contact support.
Week 2: Indexing
- Check how many publications have been indexed: this is the main interim metric.
- Portfolio benchmark — 44.4% at level one and 35.2% at level two.
- Do not restart anything: links have not started working yet.
Weeks 3–4: First Signals
| What to Monitor | What to Consider Normal |
|---|---|
| Impressions in Search Console | Light growth or stability |
| Position of the target query | Fluctuations in both directions |
| Indexing of publications | Gradual growth of share |
| Clicks | Usually still unchanged |
What to Do at the End of the Month
- Compare the four weeks with the previous four, not with individual days.
- Check the “Pulse” for the promoted link — what is Pulse.
- Decide whether to continue with this page or take the next one from Radar.
- If there’s no movement at all — go through the analysis of “no results” before paying again.
Main Mistake of the First Month
Launching a second cascade to the same page after a week without waiting for the indexing of the first. This doubles the expense without doubling the effect and deprives you of the opportunity to understand what actually worked.
What to Consider Success After a Month
Not the position in the top 3, but movement: growth in impressions, appearance of the page for new queries, growth in the share of indexed publications. These are leading indicators — they change before positions and clicks and indicate that the direction is correct.
If You Want to Speed Up
The most reasonable way is not to launch a second cascade to the same page, but to start on the next page from the list. This way, you expand your reach and simultaneously get a second observation point: if both pages have grown, the issue is in the work; if one has, the issue is with the page itself.
What to Record at the End of the Month
The launch date, the number of verified links, the indexing share, the position and clicks at the start and after a month. Five lines that will turn into your own statistics in six months — and will eliminate disputes about whether this works for you.
